Listening to: Artist - Song Title

Well, isn’t this something? The website is looking great so far. This specific post is under maintenance as I am testing the automation of the blog-posting workflow. Actually, you know what? This is the complete post. Things are good. Work is fine. Website structure is basically done; I will do plenty of edits on it in the future, but for now it is a completely functional website.

Chess lessons are going great. I am learning a lot every session myself, as well! One important thing is to really try and capture attention with a lesson up-front. It gets their minds focused on chess, sets the tone for the class, and gets them participating. I like to go with the flow but I struggle to pivot once I have chosen a path. One class I made a choice and stuck with it, but had I taken a moment to re-evaluate during the hour, I could have book-ended the session and would have made class more effective. Something to remember for next time.

What I worked on:

  • The website is effectively done
  • Using Python and VS Code, I have automated the blog setup, so the template pops up for me right in the VS Code Editor and I can just type away, find the spotify link and paste it in, and then push it.
  • Messing with Blender as a wind-down activity. It is SO fun just to play around in, although my focus could be better. But if my relaxing time is ALSO spent on PJCC then hoo boy, things are going to get done.

What’s next:

  • With the website done, I am running low on Productive Avoidance ideas. It is time to try and make a cartoon dog. Wish me luck.
